Weekly round-up #213
VALIDATE Training Grant - deadline 20 June 2022
VALIDATE offers training grants of up to £3500 to help our post-doc researchers take advantage of training opportunities that will contribute to their continuing professional development. This can include (but is not limited to): attendance at courses or workshops, laboratory exchanges, and work shadowing. Attendance at an international conference to present a talk or poster is also eligible for LMIC members.
The proposed training opportunity must fall within the VALIDATE remit. Please note that for this call only research focused on tuberculosis vaccine development is eligible. Any aspect of research that will accelerate development of an efficacious TB vaccine is eligible, including biological, physical and social sciences, and humanities.
Applicants must be an Associate member of VALIDATE (and/or a post-doctoral scientist working on research directly related to TB vaccine development nominated by a CTVD member). We particularly welcome applications from researchers based in LMICs.

VALIDATE Pump-priming Grants Awarded
VALIDATE is pleased to announce that round #5 of our Pump-priming Grants have been awarded and will support 8 exciting research projects. For this round, VALIDATE is proud to partner with the Collaboration for Tuberculosis Vaccine Discovery (CTVD).
Pump-priming grants are available for projects of up to £50,000 (plus up to 15% indirect costs) via competitive application. Projects run for a maximum of 12 months and our hope is that they will lead to relevant and useful data for the field, or produce pilot data that will lead to a larger grant application to an external funder. Find out about the new projects on Funded Pump-priming Grants page.
